The Massachusetts Municipal Human Resources association will hold its third annual Fall Conference on Sept. 12 and 13 at the Hotel Northampton.
Topics will include diversity in the municipal workplace; classification and compensation; electronic on-boarding; records retention; marijuana in Massachusetts; labor laws; and policies that all human resources directors must have.
The two-day conference will feature multiple workshops, including a breakout session with municipal HR 101 and HR 202 versions running concurrently for veteran HR personnel and those who are newer to the profession.
Following the success of the last two years, the 2019 conference will be held in a larger venue to accommodate all interested members.
The event is at the Hotel Northampton. The room rate is $149 per night. Members must call 413-584-3100 and mention the MMHR room block to get the discount.
