The town of Harvard is accepting applications for Town Planner.
This position serves as the town’s main point of contact for master planning & will split their time between land use operations and comprehensive planning initiatives. Works collaboratively with other departments, including with Conservation Agent, on open space projects & planning. Land use initiatives include infrastructure needs assessments & coordination with others on energy, climate, housing, & relevant community development needs. The Planner will seek out and facilitate the preparation of various grant applications and opportunities and will perform other related planning & community development work as assigned.
The ideal candidate shall possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, urban planning or public administration, with a minimum of three years’ experience in community development, planning, or public policy and administration with direct involvement in the administration of community and/or economic development projects. Preferred experience in municipal or government sectors.
Annual salary begins at $90,000 depending on qualifications
