The town of Holliston is pleased to announce that we are seeking applicants for two new full-time Police Officer positions. The Holliston Police Department seeks highly motivated, professional, proactive police officers with a commitment to community-oriented policing. The Holliston Police Department offers a competitive salary. The starting annual salary range is $60,614 – $82,153, plus a competitive benefits package including a competitive education stipend for those with collegiate degrees, EMT stipend, detective stipend, shift differential, longevity pay, fitness incentive and compensatory time. Additional benefits, including health/dental/life insurance, are available. Applicants who have previously worked as a full-time sworn police officer with full Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) academy training (or its equivalent), will have that previous time count for purposes of placement on the salary and vacation accrual schedules.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment, free from felony conviction, have a high school degree or equivalent, a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License, and possess or have the ability to obtain a Massachusetts License to Carry a Firearm. Applicants must also be able to pass Physical Abilities test and comprehensive pre-employment screening.

Applicants will participate in an oral interview with a panel of police officials. The successful candidate(s) will have a background investigation, a physical examination including a drug test, and a psychological fitness examination, and an interview with the Holliston Select Board.
